Draft Kings sent an email to people in Florida with accounts to ask us to support a house bill that would keep the game legal. They're trying to get us to do their work for them.

They're clearly spending good money on lawyers and lobbyists now

Don't watch him much as he can be hit or miss but man his piece on the Paris events was top notch.

Mass making it 21+ to play.

i find that as one of the odder stances taken so far.

it can be either 18 or 21, typically if alcohol is served its usually 21 at a casino, if the casino floor doesn't serve alcohol its usually 18.

In California all Indian reservation casinos are 18+. Like Dave said though, I don't think any of them serve alcohol unless it is in their bar or restaurant on the grounds.

Really? Shit, I should probably learn the ropes a bit. Whats the quick and dirty of it? Im simply looking for value plays with higher points per cost, etc. Frankly, I dont know much about how to play the different game types, whether field size of the tourney makes a difference, whether to stick with setups with more games vs less, etc.

i'm pretty sure there is some basic info within the earlier parts of this thread from Reign, myself and some others who have been doing DFS for a few years.

everything from the time you put in your entry, to the website you're using, to the amount of entries, to the style of game you're entering, to who your opponent/opponents are going to be, to the dollar amount your playing, to the structure of the dollar amount you're playing (ie 100 in 1 game vs 1 in 100 games) are some of the more basic things that you should learn about.

a 50/50 type game your want to score solid enough to get in the top 1/2 as the 49th guy wins as much as the 1st. with a tournament that has thousands of people in it you need to get more creative... you need a less used player or stack of players or fade a very popular weekly pick and hope he busts out (say like a Spencer Ware or Rawls or Allen) and then hope the guy you went with blows up.

Weas, Ive been doing the big tournaments on Fanduel most of the season. I only enter $2 or $5 contests. I use a site dfsreport.com which after the Thurs game has predictions on ownership % for the Sun games. I try to pick mostly players that have ownership % in the single digits or teens that I think could have a big day and match them up with 1 or 2 bigger owned players that I think will have a huge day, to complete my lineup. I try to look for match ups vs weak defenses and/or players from games that have a high over/under vegas line. About half the times I dont use all of my salary for my team.

I usually only have about 4 entries and most weeks I make a little money. A few times I have hit for 75 or 50 bucks. Its just something I do on Sun mornings the last hour or so before the games start. I started with $10 and have never added any money to it. I have cashed out once for $50 and have about $40 in my account right now. Thats my strategy in a nutshell. :D
