Fanduel / Draft Kings Discussion

Post by nick »

I dont know if itll be popular enough to break down to like a football thread, ball, hockey etc, but thought I'd make a post if people wanna shoot the shit about FD and DK and show lineups, give suggestions, help one another etc.

I got back into it today, doing 9+ games as one and my freeroll is the entire night. Went top heavy with my free roll see if it works. Here are my 2 lineups for tonight.

Quick synopsis.

You have a certain amount of cash each day, you pick players daily based on the salary, you go against thousands of others, and depending on where you end up you win a prize?

Sort of like VT's thing he was mentioning on here?

I think you have options to either go up in a pool of thousands, are 1 on 1, and maybe even other options like going up against 10 other guys, and highest score wins.

Something like that, i'm sure Nick or reign can confirm.

u can do 1 v 1, tournaments (ranging from 250 to 20 000 people) or 50/50 which is like 10, 20, 40 or 50 people and half double up

changed up my team a bit. taking a gamble on DJ Augustin. SVG likes him and theyre playing awful Minny. With the extra cash i was able to drop Wall/Smooth and add Lebron/Westbrook. Im kinda doing this as insurance, because its 50/50 and i expect a shit load of lebron and westbrook plays and if i dont have them and they go off im insta loser.

I haven't been active in about a year now. Money can be made anywhere. I made the first few hundred in 50/50s and some smaller head to heads. Then I figured out how to take advantage of some of the noobs and started grinding out H2H games. I did some more research and came up with a system to crush GPPs (guaranteed prize pool tournaments) that allowed 3-5 max entries in smaller fields (<150). The huge chunks came from GPPs, while consistent flow came from maxing H2H with scrubs. Generally speaking, it was about $200-$300 in play a night on H2Hs and $300-$500 in play in GPPs, once I topped $7k or so. I had no issue running a higher % of my bankroll than I did when playing poker online, because I'm so confident about the win rate. My general threshold was 1/7 of my roll. I don't think I ever had a 4 night losing streak... and 3 was pretty rare.

I thought you raked easy, because you mentioned fading Westbrook and I saw he went out 10min into the game. Stick to the process... it works.

Nick/Reign, on Fanduel how can you tell who is a noob or newer players versus veterans?

Granted I've only played on the phone app and didnt see an option to click their stats maybe its on the main website.

You can't. He plays everything; down to the $5 games.
