Started playing FanDuel 6 weeks ago and I am at a breakeven point. I have not tried the H2H games but mostly have been playing the 50/50 and tourneys. When you play multiple games is it better to change your lineup drastically or a couple of changes. Still trying to learn what everyone else knows

Here are 3 of my lineups from this past weekend in 3 different games

Used this lineup in a 50/50 and took 2nd

Hoyer
Ivory
Ware
Hopkins
Benjamin
Beckham Jr
Reed
Catanzaro
Bengals D

Lineup for $2 double up and doubled up
hoyer
ware
yeldon
crabtree
hopkins
beckham jr
walker
catanzaro
chiefs d

Lineup $4k Sun NFL mini Drive won $3
Manning
Ware
Yeldon
Beckham Jr
Benjamin
Hopkins
Reed
Catanzaro
Bengals D

In my opinion, at lower stakes... there's not reason to play multiple 50/50s. Play 1 game, for the 1 total amount that you want to wager and put your best team out there.

Agreed.

I usually play lower stakes/multiple games but with the same 1 lineup, just so i can stay playing against the lower stakes guys as opposed to the $100 50/50 competition. But yea, same idea, I keep it to 1 lineup.

Then for the big tournies, I try to make 5-10 lineups, depending on how much time I feel like spending on it.

i disagree, if you're looking for the truest 50/50 possible then spreading it out is less likely to catch an anomaly

not saying its going to make a huge difference, but over time if you're playing enough money its going to be more true for your system. if you're playing 20 bucks a night for shits and giggles then it doesn't matter.

For best results, you want to play 80% 50/50 or double-ups, and 20% GPP

You want to spread your lineups out a bit (even if it's just one or two player differences) so that one bad performance doesn't kill your entire day

I started by playing double ups, then I moved to quad ups, and am now leaning back to the double ups. All the while GPP sprinkled throughout.

Stay away from the quad ups. Shark infested waters there.

Don't get greedy, don't ever bet more than 20% of your bankroll in one day. Stay small, when you get more money continue to stay small and enter more contests, rather than increasing your buy-in. In fact, sometimes when I get my bank up, I'll go from doing $5 entries and instead do a ton of $1-2 entries. Allows me to spread out more and increase my winnings while diversifying my lineups.

Yeah, I'm thinking this could start a pretty long train of action in other states.

From someone not following this much at all, is it all tied to the cash payout issue?

If you paid to enter into a DFS event and the payout was in Amazon Gift Cards, would that have the same issues with legality? Is it then like you enter into a contest to win a prize instead? Or they'd still have the same problems with that?

it will most certainly 'last', just not how it is today.

there will be more hands in the pot from the state gov'ts.
