Does THAB33T have anything left in the tank?

C'mon man. This is BIGmike we're talking about here.

Sure, if he still had Ole Miss.

GoTW - Week 4

Post by Wasted Memory »

Early previews as I'm heading out of town and won't be able to do this Friday or Saturday.

Crazy, right? Navy vs. Louisville as the GoTW? Everyone remember what Coach THAB33T was able to do two seasons in a row at Ole Miss? No? Ask Oregon, they'll fill you in. Navy did suffer a heavy loss already, but their coach will have them ready for battle and will not enter this game scared. Louisville will need to be ready to stop the option attack and that will most likely be a spread option. Navy likes to turn the ball over but as long as they don't let the Cardinals dictate them into playing catch up in a passing game they should be able to limit those. To date, this should be BIGmike's toughest challenge of a young season, but it will still most likely be a double digit win.

As far back as I can remember, barring last season, Oklahoma has always seemed to struggle. Was it the coaches, the team, the schedule? Can a Sooner fan replicate BIGmike's success? On the flip side of the ball, coach buckeye will surely be putting his all into this possible last season of NCAA and with state pride on the line his guys will be fired up. But it surely won't be enough against this juggernaut squad from Oklahoma.

Noley didn't do himself any favors early but hopefully it pays dividends later when he's battle tested and .... nah.

FIU has taken to the air in the early season. Temple has balanced it out. Allow the Owls to control the clock and run a balanced attack and it's their game to lose. If FIU learns to establish a running game and spreads it out, well, that's trouble for Temple.

New coach in LA and that means good things for Houston. The Cougars will host a great team but inexperience behind the controller will lead to another W for Houston as they continue their BCS quest.

Champ gave Clemson a hard time for their schedule. Geez, I'm not even dignifying this one. Michigan wins, duh.

Image Coach PittRocks43: 0-0 (0-0) vs. Image Coach fsupenguin: 0-0 (0-0)
OSU has some great athletes on their squad that just weren't utilized correctly in seasons past. Can PittRocks get the most out of his players? SMU, on the other hand, was utilized perfectly last season. This match up will show us if pengy is back or not. Focused, it's an easy W for him.

Image Coach Cougnix: 0-1 (0-1) vs. Image Coach Black Rain: 0-0 (0-0)
Another great early season match up. Central Florida can make a name for themselves here by picking up another win over a power conference team.

Image Coach GeorgesGoons: 0-0 (0-0) vs. Image Coach driccio21: 0-1 (0-0)
If there was any left after the SDSU game then this will surely knock off the remaining remnants of rust. UConn, with a tough opening week game, will get back above .500 and be primed for a run in the AAC now.
