NYC

Post by qazhby »

Going to NYC this weekend. One problem I lost my wallet a couple of weeks back, order my driver's license around 2 weeks ago and it still isn't here. Does anyone know how I would still be able to fly? I don't have a passport either lol. Would doing to TSA- Pre check thing let me forego having my driver's license?

No license, no passport. WTF Qaz??? You will need something and I doubt a college ID will suffice. Do you have any other state ID?

Adult passengers 18 and over must show valid identification at the airport checkpoint in order to travel.

Driver's licenses or other state photo identity cards issued by Department of Motor Vehicles (or equivalent)
U.S. passport
U.S. passport card
DHS trusted traveler cards (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)
U.S. Department of Defense ID, including IDs issued to dependents
Permanent resident card
Border crossing card
DHS-designated enhanced driver's license
Federally recognized, tribal-issued photo ID
HSPD-12 PIV card
Foreign government-issued passport
Canadian provincial driver's license or Indian and Northern Affairs Canada card
Transportation worker identification credential
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Employment Authorization Card (I-766)
U.S. Merchant Mariner Credential

Forgot Your ID?
In the event you arrive at the airport without valid identification, because it is lost or at home, you may still be allowed to fly. The TSA officer may ask you to complete an identity verification process which includes collecting information such as your name, current address, and other personal information to confirm your identity. If your identity is confirmed, you will be allowed to enter the screening checkpoint. You may be subject to additional screening, to include a patdown and screening of carry-on property.

You will not be allowed to enter the security checkpoint if your identity cannot be confirmed, you chose to not provide proper identification or you decline to cooperate with the identity verification process.

TSA recommends that you arrive at least two hours in advance of your flight time.

Where are you from?
Walk into a DMV and get a license.
Takes a few minutes and done. Why 2 weeks?

They don't print at the DMV, they give you a temp license on paper and then mail the real thing to your house

That sucks.

Here in Ohio, I can walk in, say I lost my license, they look me up in the system, I pay the $20 or whatever it costs and they print it in a few minutes.

We have 4 seasons, winters are not bad at all, now that I live on the east border, halfway down the state. When I was in Cleveland, they sucked.
We get less than half the snow here.

Beautiful greenery, hills, rivers, I love it here.

I always envision a movie like The Strangers or some deranged killer and no one within miles.

I love it because you are 45 minutes to an hour from Pittsburgh so the "big city" is not too far away.

I lived in Cleveland for 21 years, so I know what city life is like.
I will take where I live now, any day, over that.

 Thought the same thing and also when Dave makes fun of Peay back in the day.

DadDave is getting a dose of reality from calling out others on his "sooooo busy!!!" rants.

Feels good.

He's a ghost nowadays. My favorite is when he says he's just as active as he's always been!!
