I can’t see myself watching a single minute of this. Does Chicago even have a team?

...and Team 9 - Lol, a group of misfits that practice and are available for teams to use as a pickup player due to injuries.

Supposedly, the XFL has already surpassed the AAF in revenues, so at least the players may actually get paid for the entire season.

Shit's getting wild in LA, 1 game in, and they've fired their defensive coordinator and cut the captain of the defense.

Xfl seems more like a feeder program for the NFL than NCAA

If it does well this year, I definitely see kids coming out after their freshman/sophomore years to play here before being eligible to play in the NFL. Gives them some money in their pocket while performing on a stage that should be a better brand of football than NCAA.

There was one kid playing CB. Played 2 years at West Virginia but did not have the grades. He was getting ready for the draft by playing in the xfl.

I think it’s interesting how much everyone wants it to work, I think that generally is a reflection that something can/eventually will work.

I just don’t think this is it.

If I was Vince I would have thrown the bag at Barstool and took a big stake in the company like PENN just did and I would have put Portnoy in charge as commish to further create that Goodell/Portnoy feud. Those guys bring an instant audience and they are great marketing minds and could have had an instant fan base. It might have ruffled too many feathers with NFL if they went that route but money is money and most of that “hatred” is business nonsense anyways

If the league had affiliation to actual NFL teams that would also help me have interest. If I knew that Duck Hodges was playing this weekend I might have interest to watch and see his progression and potential spot on Steelers in future. But just watching has beens and never was play random football is a big no thanks to me. It’s cool for a couple weeks cause it’s new but the quality of the talent eventually just loses my interest. If they can start pulling high quality ncaa kids then maybe I change my tune but there is no way the NFL lets that start to happen
