Re: NBA Thread
Did they say how long they were in the fog?
The wife and I were talking about this when it happened. Billy and Webs would understand here. But once you go into IMC conditions you are supposed to take a 180 and fly out if you are flying VFR (or even special VFR rules). I just don't understand this one at all, especially when this guy was a CFI for both VFR and Instrument rating.

Re: NBA Thread
Ok, I'll stop...
After this...
Andrew Lopez @_Andrew_Lopez 1m
In nine games this season, Zion Williamson has a 115.7 offRtg and a 100.6 defRtg.
The net rating of 15.2 is No. 1 in the league of players averaging at least 25 mins a game.
The four players behind him are all Milwaukee Bucks.
Zion checked out with 31 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists
19-year olds to put up that stat line:
- Kevin Durant
- LeBron James
- Luka Doncic
End of list.
Also, Zion played the fewest minutes of anyone to do it at 19 or younger.
Only 4 rookies have ever put up at least 14 points in each of their 1st 9 games, and it hasn't been done in nearly 30 years until Zion
Andrew Lopez @_Andrew_Lopez 25m
Zion had more points than minutes for the 2nd time tonight.
From @EliasSports
: Since the shot-clock era began in 1954-55, the only other player to do that twice within his first 10 NBA games is Hall of Famer Michael Jordan, among guys to play 15+ minutes in both games.

Yep, he'll come back to life and avg 12 a game in no time. Just wait...
Quick, name all the people who said they expected he'd be top 20 all time. Go!!!GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 12:16 pm And I said he would be a bust compared to the expectations. No way will he be a top 20 player of all time.

Re: NBA Thread
For reference, this is exactly what George said:
You didn't just move the goalposts here, you transported them halfway across the world.
You went from saying you can't wait to see him humbled and playing like a bust against elite athletes to "He won't be top 20 of all time"
GeorgesGoons wrote:I'm just glad I don't have to hear about Zion now. I cannot wait till he gets to the NBA where he is matched up with other Elite athletes on a nightly basis. He will be a bust!

Lol, nice detective work Shel. If becoming a top 20 player of all time is the measuring stick then sure, I'll call him a bust lol

Re: NBA Thread
Keep searching, I have always said he would be nothing more than a Shawn Kemp player. I stand by it, everyone was talking about a once in a generation player when he was coming out. Athleticism yes no doubt, but he didn't show he could shoot in college and he played behind players too much to get that spectacular block.

Imagine taking a hard stance on how someone will fare in the NBA but then not knowing who was the MVP of the league

Re: NBA Thread
I'm sure it's widely known that I don't watch a lot of NBA basketball. I even asked 3 or 4 years ago who I should follow as a team. I believe Dave said Philly would be a fit for me. I try, but I just can't get into the way the game is played.
