Rumors swirling now that the SEC is not looking to cancel the season and is in fact trying to get other OOC schools to temporarily join the SEC in order to be part of their schedule.

We are going to see conferences make decision based on political influence and its evident already with some of the choices being thrown out there.

According to sports talk radio host Dan Patrick, who cited an unnamed source, the Southeastern Conference is “reaching out” to the Big 12 and ACC to form a “super conference” for 2020.

I like what they're doing here!

But the reality is if 1 positive test sets off all kinds of postponements like MLB, it's not even worth trying.

It's all so stupid.

Just stop now before we even attempt to get off the ground. Delay until the Spring at minimum.

The MLB and NBA have been snooze fests already. I cant imagine CFB without fans and that environment that makes CFB the best sport in the world.

Trevor Lawrence had a few solid tweets about how the players are safer in totality in their current environment compared to just sending them back home.

The SEC tested all football players last week, 0.8% returned positive. Just for reference as an example, the 18-24 age range in Lousiana tests positive at an 18% rate. IT's certainly not an apples to apples comparison, but it still makes you wonder if the players are really safer not playing football. It's not that football itself is safer or even safe, but in total, there's a point around it that could be safer for the individuals.

Numbers from the Michigan football team:
The Michigan football program has had 11 positive tests out of 893 administered, including three upon initial return to campus.

• We have had two positive tests out of the last 417 administered.

• We have had zero positive tests out of the last 353 administered.

• There have been zero positives tests among the coaches or staff over the entire eight weeks of testing.

• There has been no contract tracing to our fields, weight room, locker room or facility.

• We have had zero pauses in our training.

The Rock should leverage his purchase of the XFL and turn it into some sort of NBA D league where "college football players" bypass the whole college thing and go get paid in the minors before the NFL drafts them.

Could be fun.

I'm in.

I was already eager to see the new G League team run up against other squads. Lets have us a little 8 team round robin fall football league.

The alternative is send them home, they more than likely get COVID at a much higher rate, and more players get this rare condition, so there's that.
