2024 gets harder if Nikki Haley and Tim Scott are both running for president
Nikki and Tim are pretty well connected. I can see a situation where they go at it during the primary and then the winner takes the lead on the ticket with the loser falling in as VP. I'm all in on that ticket either way.
If I was a betting man, I'd put a lot of money on one of these 4 to become the next president:
Nikki Haley
Tim Scott
Ron DeSantis
Kristi Noem

I have said it here multiple times that a Noem/Haley ticket easily wins the presidency. I also think a Haley or Noem / Scott ticket easily wins.

There is a lot of momentup behind DeSantis but I just don't think he can bring in the votes that left during the Trump presidency. Noem or Haley would have to be his running mate and I still don't think it's a slam dunk

You've been wrong every time you've said that too. There's very little chance Noem can come out of the primary and there's no chance at all that she can win the presidency. She freaks moderates out. Short of 4 years of a complete disaster from Harris/Biden, Noem would be steamrolled.

I could live with that. At least I'd feel fairly confident that he's not a complete scumbag like most other options out there.

I'd be perfectly happy with that. There's no comparison to him and Trump just because they are "celebs"...

1) Not beholden to anybody (could fund his own campaign, and I mean actually do it unlike Trump who lied)

2) He's proven that he's a good person who actually cares about those less off than him

3) Has no "loyalty" to a party or certain leaders

4) Has no reason to try to benefit from being President (unlike Trump family) financially; the dude is loaded

I don't think he'd do it, but if he did, he'd do so for good reasons.

As we are seeing with the ousting of Cheney and her replacement being hand picked by trump. He still has a death grip on the party. So baring something out of the ordinary for a midterm election trump republicans will pick up seats and cement his influence for another presidential cycle either with him or a close disciple getting the nomination for the Republicans. So unless some unforseen catastrophe happens to biden/ democrats that doesn't really shift the national vote republicans way IMO.

Anyone else seeing something taking shape?

There's a big internal push for DeSantis. I think it's a mistake.

The Rock v Donald Trump.

Rock would win 100-0 but it'd be kinda cool.. Then in an alternate Universe The ROck is actually the piece of shit and the US goes totalitarian.

If it's the Rock vs Trump vs the democrat candidate, the Rock has no shot because people love to vote with the guy with the D or R next to his name....just cause.

i assume ROck would run as a Dem but i guess it depends. I dont think Bidens health will be good enough in 3-4 yrs to run again, and I dont know in this climate if Rock would wanna take on Kamala for the Dem spot.
