Trump will turn it into a positive and blame Obama
Well Obama was taking credit for the economy.....
I don't give him credit, just like I wont blame this on any politician. People are worried about the corona....I can say I have not changed one aspect of my life due to it. The only change that I may make is offering schools a disinfectant that actually cleans and neutralizes the regular flu that may be living on school buses and in classrooms.
Looks like the bill Trump and Congress is pushing thru is good for nothing but a good headline. The paid leave only applies to 20% of workers while they pump trillions into corporations to cushion the blow. Why are democrats such pussys and let Republicans run over them I'll never understand
I would argue the opposite in it hurting the Dems more with ruining campaigning, voting closures, and other items like that quarantining people.
Trump had a chance to shine in this but he chose the "hoax" route and all kinds of dumb things being said and progressively has reversed course making him look worse than usual.
Oh for sure which is why I said originally this could have really crippled the Dems campaigns and who knows how voting would be done and it is already way down.
Trump blew it. He had the answers to the test from China and Italy and chose fake news and took way too long to do the things he is doing now.
Just a couple of days ago he did a complete 180 from fake news/hoax/everything is under control and completely changed his demeanor to taking this very seriously.
I think his advisors got ahold of him and told him if he didn't, he was going to lose the 2020 election, and that's the only reason he's done the about face.

nothing else in his presidency matters except this. How he handles and deals with covid19 will define his presidency.
I am as liberal as they come and hate him as a president but I desperately want him to succeed and make every right decision involving this. if he does such an amazing job and whatnot that he gets re-elected.... so be it.

I mean, I'd say that 99.999999% of the reason Biden has gone from 20/1 to even odds is Trump's mishandling of this whole ordeal.
To be fair he was never 20/1 against Trump. That 20/1 a month ago was factoring in that he was considered a long shot to get the nomination even. Head to head with Trump he would have been probably +150 or 2 to 1.
That being said, you are still right in stating the reason he has gone to a favorite is from Trump's handling of this.
Bidens jump was because of one thing only. He was a betting underdog, a has-been, against Sanders until South Carolina. The left got smart and decided that they knew what they wanted with their tax money compared to what Sanders was promising.
As far as the hoax thing and Trump. I read it was Kushner that was pushing him to label it as a hoax, and he's not to find of him right now. But I'm sure it was a right leaning paper so who knows when "news" is getting reported anymore. Way too much opinionated "journalism" going on anymore (both sides).
Dems and Republicans can't decide over a stimulus plans to send those checks to Americans, and none of it has to do with the checks. They're fighting over the items that have nothing to do with COVID that each side is trying to place in the bills to get these things they want passed.
And yet, the overwhelming majority of Americans(and posters in here) are going to go out in November and vote for a Democrat or Republican, essentially supporting this behavior.
