The app for the live TV is SOPlayer and costs $25 a month for up to 4 devices. Then the other apps for movies, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime are: TVZion, BeeTV, TeaTV, CinemaHD v2, Titanium TV, and CyberFlix.The_Niddler wrote:What is the application called?GeorgesGoons wrote:Not a box, it's a firestick with an app installed on it that gives you every channelshel311 wrote:Pretty sure my wife's parents have one of those boxes.

So the last few are free programs you could install yourself. Netflix is normally $13 a month, Amazon Prime is effectively about $10 a month when you're a member, and you can get great deals on Hulu all the time (I got in on the $0.99 a month for a year deal last year) but can be had for $5.99 a month.
So you're paying $25 a month for about $29 of subscriptions?

Then add in $5/month for ESPN+, whatever the MLB package is, NBA package, NFL package, NHL package. I am sure I am missing some but you should get the point.dakshdar wrote:So the last few are free programs you could install yourself. Ah, you didn't mention those. Yes, the sports packages are well over $100 a year, so you're definitely in the grand larceny range.GeorgesGoons wrote:Then add in $5/month for ESPN+, whatever the MLB package is, NBA package, NFL package, NHL package. Did you have this person you're buying from set-up a VPN for you as well (not even sure that offers anonymity in a real sense though)?

This thread is a classic
Re: Cell Phones and Tech Shit
What exactly are you paying them $25 a month to do? Most kodi-box stuff you can install yourself and requires nothing but the free software.
Do they provide some server that you log into in order to access the "free" accounts?
Or the $25 is to cover the TV portion? A quick search on SOPlayer indicated it is an IPTV app.

- Buy a subscription using bitcoin and a non traceable email address
Sign up with a fake name and address
Use a privacy focused VPN anytime you’re watching IPTV

Re: Cell Phones and Tech Shit
I had someone try to talk me into $40 per month for ixqtv that has an app on iphone and android.
But it is basically a portal instead of kodi that has a guide like my cable company.
It was nice looking, but as you stated, you should at the very least, like when using kodi or any of the other apps you mentioned, use a vpn.
That way it severely masks who and where you are and what you are watching/doing on the internet.

From what I read, streaming speed may be affected by VPN usage - so you need to shop for a VPN that pushes higher speed streaming if it's the sole method of viewing anything in the house and you may have multiple streams running at the same time.

Nord is a very good one. My buddy uses it and has no issues.
He has no cable service, just internet and Kodi.

I just read about IXQ TV. Unreal - it's a pyramid scheme (MLM) wrapped in an IPTV streaming service! Apparently it's not the only IPTV service that uses MLM either (Fun Stream TV, AxeMediaTV, BeyondTV).
The fact that there are so many MLM/pyramid schemes in this industry seems like a red flag

As soon as the girl starting explaining it to me, I said, oh, the old Kirby Vacuum's pyramid scheme!
She was so pissed off.
It was hilarious.

I use IPVanish and have never had a problem. I am not a criminal like these others though. I pay for all the sports stuff, HBO, and Showtime but I still gotta VPN to the states for it to work.

I love how its linear too..like people cant torrent and then buy. Its crazy how many things ive torrented and then went and bought cause i enjoyed.
Also since most of this is created by people, i would assume ppl would prefer their movies get torrented than not. if 50 ppl buy and 50 ppl torrent, if it was impossible to torrent, just only 50 ppl would buy. Torrenting gives 100 ppl the viewing and might sway ppl to spend money in the future.
