VVV's bracket pool
If anyone wants in paypal $10 to gwarner@mail.utexas.edu or pm me for my address.
Trying to get a big number of people so i'm adding others into it.
I'm taking 10% for administrative costs, but guaranteeing payment with that so I'll need the money before I can invite you to the group.
It's on CBS

Eeeeeeeexactly. I've never once heard of someone charging a "fee" to host a tourney pool. I am still waiting to hear the explanation on this one.DRiccio21 wrote:you're literally trying to rob your friends

Re: VVV's bracket pool
if i post 3 entries, do i have to pay 3 of these things, or is it a one time fee? i'd really hate to cheat you out of money if i did multiple entries, you know.

What are you going to do in order to deserve this 10%? Hand score them with a smily face and provide a free t-shirt to those who participate? You are an interesting one VVV.

Re: VVV's bracket pool
Every good-sized pool i've ever been in has a tip for the guy running it or administrative fees involved with promoting it and getting everyone in it. It's a courtesy thing for the guy sticking his neck out there/the work it is to get a lot of people in a bracket pool because until you've run one you wouldn't know how difficult it is getting a large number of people in it.
The 10% is a guarantee that you will be paid so if I don't get paid by someone then I'm on the hook for it.
Tim, if that's not in jest, you could do 3 brackets for $10 each.

I just know how much it sucks when people don't pay because you see it EVERYWHERE

Re: VVV's bracket pool
The example you gave involved some work on that guys part to score the conference championships and at large teams, etc... He couldn't just have some website do it. I could see that, but for you sweating and working hard trying to make a post on here, and create a league on espn, you get 10%? You claim that if people don't pay then your on the hook. Require the money before you give out the password for the league. If they don't pay, then they aren't in. Do I get 5% of the cut for coming up with that idea?

Re: VVV's bracket pool
i still dont get why your entitled to money for running it
Re: VVV's bracket pool
hell, when i've run leagues or contests (college fantasy football, bowl challenge, etc), I go ahead and eat the surcharge that paypal takes out of some of the entires if some people don't submit them right, and I do a hell of alot of work with the draft for the college league. To take admin charges for a league when cbs does all the work seems strange.
