GeorgesGoons wrote: Wed Oct 19, 2022 11:24 pm And what is the egg technique? I know he says you shouldn't salt your eggs till they are done, and you should fold in butter at the end as well.
this is a great breakdown of it. I'd watch the whole episode (it's amazing) but the link starts it at the eggs.

Re: Recipes

Gordon Ramsay's scrambled eggs technique changed my life. He teaches it at the end of his first Hot Ones interview. I've been doing a ton of sous vide cooking the past year and a half, I swear by it. Love throwing a ribeye or strip steak in there for two hours at 134 degrees, then 90 seconds on eac...

Re: Edinburgh and Brussels

Look for where most of the tourists are going then go around the corner and find a quiet restaurant instead. Did this in when I was in Europe and was pretty happy every time. Also, don’t go to the restaurants that post their menu outside. Any particular reason on the last part? Not sure I've ever g...

Re: Edinburgh and Brussels

Do you have a link for the interview? We actually never used it. Spurs' womens team was in town for an international tournament involving Racing Louisville, and I interviewed him for our show on Sunday. By the time we got to Thursday's show, Spurs had lost both of their matches and returned home so...

Re: Edinburgh and Brussels

I think you like soccer, tour some soccer arenas for me. Tottenham's stadium is brand new and state of the art- also has a skywalk where you can walk on top. Looks pretty cool This is on my list; I was able to interview Ledley King this summer and met some folks from their front office, so I'm gett...

Edinburgh and Brussels

Going to England for two and a half weeks (Thanksgiving through the 11th) and am going to take day trips to Edinburgh and Brussels. Mostly looking for some good restaurant recommendations if anybody's been to either one, or any places I should check out that aren't the more obvious tourist traps.

Re: Podcast about the NDL history--interested?

Chase (VTRunngun) and I will be going on the pod next week so it'll be out in about two weeks. Btw can someone clarify for me the whole story about Cole Beasley? That was one story I never fully grasped...was he in the league? Was that fake college player pretending to be him? What was the full stor...

That would definitely help out online leagues if they would offer it.
FIFA is going to have it this year, so it wouldn't surprise me if they did. They're also merging the FUT markets.

Is everyone going to get a PS5 to play it on?
I'm grateful that I was able to snag one about 19 months ago or probably not

Re: Politics and stuff

Btw, one other thing about Europe and the tax rate: If paying close to 50% taxes meant we had free healthcare (and more importantly, never going into debt from medical bills), clean water, a strong electrical grid, better education, better infrastructure, etc...I'd happily foot the bill. The medical...

Not gonna break up like you did, George, that's too much work lol. I'm lazy. (but looked nice) 1) get rid of tax loopholes. Period. Tax loopholes have done nothing but destroy this economy. There's a reason Reaganomics coincides with the shift from a strong working class, to the massive wealth gap w...

Re: Politics and stuff

We can run out all of the levels that made money off of the financial ignorance of people. But I tend to look at it in a much simpler view... the student loan program is garbage and universities gouging people for the cost of an education is absurd. As with anything that the government puts their h...

Re: Politics and stuff

This is what you get when you tell 2 generations of kids that they have to go to college to be successful, don't give them guidance on the usefulness of their career choices and then pass out student loans like they are Halloween candy, while basically letting the candy manufacturers charge whateve...

Re: Politics and stuff

Tuition at UK is 3-4x more now than it was when I went 20 years ago. Meanwhile, the average wage in the state of Kentucky has gone up about 40%. THAT is the real problem. The cost of getting this magical education that is going to increase how much money you can make after college has gone up expone...

Re: Call of Duty - Modern Warfare II

I'm going to see how Overwatch 2 is first. I moved from COD to BF but EA ruined that game (shocking!). I don't get much time to play anything anymore, so I'll have to pick one or the other.
